With a brief of invigorate and enliven otherwise institutional & uninspiring stair cores, Hermantes Studio embarked on a super fast-tracked design and delivery of 4no. major vertical circulations spaces with the school.

The Concept design, Wayfinding Strategy, Technical detailing, approvals and co-ordination for the school’s key Stair Cores, ensured fast-tracked refurbishment works were possible during the school summer shutdown. 

The existing dark, light-absorbing and institutional stairs were refreshed utilising new a light, sheet rubber floor with coloured portals reflecting a new Wayfinding + Finishes palette for the school.                                                                   

Graphic artwork was developed to reflect the architecture within the Square Mile as well as some of the school’s iconic neighbours creating an invigorated and vibrant environment for these super high-traffic circulation cores.
