As part of the City of London School masterplan, the Arrivals and Bookshop area is transformed into a welcoming, contemporary space that sets the tone for the school from the moment pupils and visitors arrive.

The redesigned layout opens up sightlines, improves circulation, and introduces clear, intuitive wayfinding, creating a calmer and more legible arrival experience during busy periods. A refreshed material and colour palette, paired with consistent, high-quality lighting, lifts the space and brings clarity and warmth to what was previously a dark and underwhelming environment.

The bookshop is repositioned as a visible and engaging focal point within the arrival sequence, encouraging interaction without interrupting flow. Subtle integration of CLS identity and heritage adds character and confidence, reinforcing a sense of place and arrival.
